Biography of Henry C. White
Henry C. White (1861-1952) was born in Hartford, Connecticut and lived in Waterford, Connecticut. He was an artist whose primary subject matter was Connecticut landscapes and seascapes. Henry C. White was an avid yachtsman and maintained an extensive correspondence with Nathanael G. Herreshoff, L. Francis Herreshoff and other members of the Herreshoff family. His son Nelson C. White (1900-1989) and grandson Nelson H. White (1932-) were also sailors and artists.
