Kinsey Brown – Speical Collections Librarian for the G.W. Blunt White Library. She catalogs, preserves, and provides access to the Museum’s expansive collections of Rare Books and Manuscripts. An access-minded librarian, Kinsey also assists with fellowship and internship programs, research requests, and community outreach. In conjunction with the Long Island Project, Kinsey has trained on and assisted with paper repair techniques that can be further applied to Library Collections in the future.
Michael Dyer – Curator of Maritime History & Instructor of Frank C. Munson Institute of American Maritime History
Rachel Kenedy – Ships Plans Archivist for the Daniel S. Gregory Ships Plans Center in the G.W. Blunt White Library. In this role, she catalogs, preserves, and facilitates access to more than 200,000 ship plans held in the collection. She also oversees the coordination of collections and library volunteers. As part of the Long Island Project, Rachel has identified a range of ship and sail plans relevant to Long Island. She has been repairing these sail plans using professional paper conservation techniques—methods that will also be applied to the broader ships plans collection.
