Inglefield, Edward Augustus 1853

In 1852, Commander E.A. Inglefield left England in Lady Franklin’s private schooner ISABEL in search of Sir John Franklin’s expedition. While he did not locate any sign of Franklin, he did conduct a number of successful surveys in the region. Reports on botany, geology and meteorology are also included.
