Biography of Joseph H. Skillman

Joseph H. Skillman was a whaling agent in Greenport, New York, during the mid-19th century. He was a partner in the firm of Ireland and Skillman, which managed among others the whaling barks CAROLINE, OREGON, and KANAWHA.
